Course Information | |||||||||
Description | Students will learn to promote organizations, products, and services using social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. Develop target audiences within social media platforms. Introduction to social media tools such as Hootsuite and Sprout Social. Learn best practices for how to build an online community and curate its contributed information so that that information reliably provides support for products or services. | ||||||||

Attendance Policy | To be successful in this course, students must check Blackboard early in the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) to see the course content and assignments for the week. Weekly course content and assignments will be posted by Sunday or Monday, and all assignments will be due by Saturday at midnight each week. | ||||||||

This is a class that combines videos and mini-lectures with hands-on learning. All content will be available in Blackboard, so it is critical that you regularly check Blackboard for your assignments and read all instructions carefully. In addition to weekly discussion items and assignments, you will frequently use the study guide material provided by Meta in preparation for the Meta Digital Marketing Associate Exam that you will take at the end of the course. The final exam for this course is the Meta Digital Marketing Associate Exam. You will take the exam week of April 27 and must submit your exam results to me in Blackboard by midnight on Saturday, May 3. |

COVID 19 Information | The Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) Student Code of Conduct COVID 19 Policy requires students who have been diagnosed with COVID 19 to report their condition directly to their local health department. Students should also contact their course faculty to report their quarantine status. In addition, this policy requires all students to wear face coverings when directly exposed to COVID 19 in compliance with the criteria included in the policy.
